Sailing Yacht Knysna - 2.5hr Lunch cruise

Knysna

Activity Description

If you enjoy sailing, this experience, followed by a delicious lunch, is the perfect way to bring a little luxury into your Knysna adventure. This activity also provides an ideal way to view the spectacular scenery and marine life of the world-renowned Garden Route coastline. The route takes you over the Knysna lagoon, through the impressive Knysna Heads and out into the true freedom of the open ocean. After a magnificent sail, we return to the calmer waters of the Knysna Estuary and serve a delicious feast of Mediterranean style cuisine. All our trips are ocean going trips and are weather and sea conditions dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgement call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed.

Customer Reviews

As a disabled person Knysna is not a disabled friendly place. However, our Boat trip with Sandy and his Crew was exceptional . Having been sailing most of my adult life it was very thrilling to go out the heads, and we all felt very secure. The buffet was delightful, and our son who was over from Paris was also really really was in awe of the ocean and the sharks. We did many things whilst he was here but that was the one trip he talks about most. I cannot thank Sandy enough for making it such a very successful trip, I had thought I would never do that again and I did. Thank you. - Toni Fowler

My fiancée and I had an excellent sail with Kevin and his crew. The luncheon provided was very good. I don’t have any hesitation in recommending Ocean Odyssey. My only regret is that our sail wasn’t longer. - Keith Fowlstone

We really enjoyed our time with Springtide Charters tremendously. Everything was top-notch and the crew very friendly and helpful - nel van niekerk

We had a wonderful sail.....it was quite windy, but a beautiful day! Skipper David and crew decided it was safe to go out the Heads to the Indian Ocean! Growing up sailing, I was very impressed with the Skipper's ability to get in&out of the Heads AND to serve a great lunch once back inside the lagoon! Definitely a highlight of our trip to South Africa! - Carolyn Connors

I think we hit lucky as we were the only people on the Yacht this day. The weather was perfect, and the see looked fairly calm. It was my eldest daughters birthday (22) and this was her choice of the perfect outing. The crew were lovely, attentive, hard working and the captain was also great, made sure we were happy with going out through the heads and that we were safe in lifejackets before we did this. The whole trip was superb, really relaxed and lovely sailing with a good wind in the sails. The buffet and bubbles was also really good, well presented and more food that we needed. Fabulous thanks would recommend to all - Deborah greenwood
