Knysna

SEASONS GREETINGS! WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOU BEING ON BOARD! PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR WHALE WATCHING SEASON ENDED ON THE 30TH OF NOVEMBER - BOOKABLE AGAIN ON THE 1ST JUNE 2025. PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT OUR *ECO MARINE TOUR* TO BOOK AN OCEAN GOING EXPERIENCE!

Activity Description

Reveal in the beauty of the Knysna estuary and the Garden Route coastline on our 2.5-hour Lunch Cruise!

This daytime charter is the perfect opportunity to soak up the natural scenery of the estuary and coastline. The yacht will depart from the Knysna Waterfront and enter the diverse Knysna estuary taking a slow cruise toward the impressive headlands – the towering sandstone cliffs that guard the passage to the sea. Provided the conditions are ideal, we will pass through the heads and enter the vast Indian Ocean for an exhilarating ocean sailing experience! Sit back and enjoy the natural scenery of the Garden Route coastline as we harness the wind. After an incredible ocean sailing experience, we return to the calm waters of the Knysna estuary for a delicious spread of savoury snacks, cheeses, and seasonal fruits served picnic-style on the deck of the yacht.

All our trips are ocean-going trips and are weather and sea conditions-dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgment call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed, and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed. In the event of poor conditions, the charter can still proceed within the estuary.

Customer Reviews

We really enjoyed this sailing trip. Alex the skipper and Mark the deck hand were just great and made sure we had a lovely experience. We learned a lot about the area and enjoyed some nice drinks and snacks. It was a really good mixture of being in the lagoon and being out in the sea. We would highly recommend. A fantastic trip on a lovely vessel. - Edwina

Loved it, an incredible experience and great time sailing out on the Indian Ocean. - Greg

Everything was just lovely! The captain was the most friendliest and nicest (honestly the nicest person I've ever met) ever ! We got the yacht all to ourselves which super romantic. The crew and the services were great. They managed to get someone to pick us up from the hotel as we were struggling to get transportation and did not charge us at all. That was kind of them to make sure we arrived on time. Food was great too. I recommend highly! We would love to do it again. - Vanessa

Marvelous sailing experience leaving the lagoon under sail. A very nice picnic lunch was provided too. All in all a great way to spend a few hours on the water in Knysna. - Rob

It was an amazing experience - we enjoyed it. The sailors were showing professionalism and made it a comfortable sailing. - Moses
